18 August 2026 – The newly- appointed North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Virginia Tlhapi said unity is strength and calls staff members to pull together inquest of moving the department forward. In her meet and greet meeting with Mahikeng based senior management and staff, Tlhapi said there is nothing that beats commitment and hard work which enables seamless service delivery to communities.
Meanwhile, the Head of Department (HoD), Dr Hans Kekana assured Tlhapi that the Team COSATMA has a spring in their steps and will ensure that as she hits the ground running, they will sprint for her. Kekana said Tlhapi will meet other staff in other districts at a date still to be determined.
