10 October 2026 – The Klerksdorp Railway Station is a historic sandstone landmark located on Margaretha Prinsloo Street in Klerksdorp Central, North West. Erected by the Netherlands–South African Railway Company (NZASM) and officially opened by President Paul Kruger on 3 August 1897.

Noted as a fine example of late Victorian and NZASM two-tone banded and articulated sandstone design with an imposing front gable. It can be reached via Margaretha Prinsloo Street off the N12/CBD intersection, though local roads feature severe potholes and require careful driving.

Periodically hosts the Phelophepa healthcare train providing community medical, eye care, and psychological services. Primarily utilised for freight and heritage recognition, with regular long-distance passenger rail services experiencing disruptions or limited availability compared to historical schedules.
