Police are looking for missing Angolan man

The police in Letlhabile request the community’s assistance in locating an Angolan national, Antonio Leandro Wakankwa (70), who is missing. The North West police spokesperson, Col Adele Myburgh said Wakankwa is residing in Block G, Letlhabile.

She further said, he was last seen by his wife on Thursday morning (2 May 2024). Myburgh added that the wife went to the local clinic and on her return later at around 4pm, Wakankwa was nowhere to be found.

“He was last seen wearing a grey jacket, a torn jersey with blue stripes, green short pants and white slippers. He has dementia and it is possible that he will not be able to remember his own name or address.

“Anyone who may have information regarding Wakankwa’s whereabouts, is requested to contact the Investigating Officer, Constable Tshireletso Ratsola of Letlhabile Detectives on 082 ‪416 0670 or your nearest police station,” she said.  

Myburgh said anonymous tip-offs can also be communicated via My SAPS App on smart phones or alternatively call Crime Stop on ‪‪‪08600 10111.
