A missing man found murdered, suspect in court

A BODY of a missing man was found in the veld next to the R31 in Kimberley on Wednesday. Northern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Sergio Kock said Ridhwaan Mackay, 19 went missing last week Thursday.

“Mackay went missing on Thursday and was last seen at his home in West-End by his mother. He left with his sister’s white VW Golf 7, however the car was found in Clifford Street, West End on Sunday not very far from where he lived. Mackay’s parents reported him missing to the police after finding the abandoned vehicle.

“Mackay’s partially burnt body was recovered. It appeared that his hands and feet were tied and autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Police arrested a 19-year-old male suspect and charged him with murder. The suspect will appear in the Kimberley Magistrates Court ón Thursday. The police investigation continues,” Kock said.

Truly sad, condolences to the family…such a young life, may his lost soul rest in peace. no pain can compare to the pain in losing a child, only a parent can feel the intensity of such a pain…don’t let his death be in vain, I hope all parents and children learn something from this….lots of love and prayers to the family, dear Mrs Mackay, I have you in prayer….keep his memories close to your heart…he will always be with you…
