Picture Supplied: Ditsobotla municipal offices up in flair

​Protesters from Boikhutso Township in Lichtenburg held Ditsobotla Local Municipal mayor, Daniel Buthelezi hostage at on Wednesday. 
Protesters allegedly stormed into municipality’s office and held Buthelezi hostage. They also torched the municipality offices. 
North West police spokesperson, Brig Sabata Mokgwabone said: “The police are currently at the scene trying to negotiate with them.”
However, the protesters said the police must evacuate the crime scene and let them go freely. 
MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Dr Mpho Motlhabane is also at the scene. -Newsnote
