TAUNG- A security guard is in critical condition at Taung District Hospital after he was stabbed. Abram Tsile Palagangwe, 33, was stabbed on his face and in his back after 20 suspects pounced on him.
North West police spokesperson, Sergeant Kealeboga Molale said the suspects armed with sharp objects and knives attacked the security guard during robbery.
“They robbed a supermarket cigarettes and undisclosed amount of money at Rooivaal village, in Taung. The suspects allegedly attacked the security guard and wounded him. They stabbed him on his face and in the back. Police were called to the scene and managed to seize four suspects on the scene. Police request anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of other suspects to come forward,” Molale said.
She said that they opened a case of attempted murder. Molale said four suspects are expected to appear before Taung Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Palagangwe suffered his second attacked. He was attacked back in March at a Chinese shop in Taung CBD where he was trading as a security guard during upheaval.
