News reaching the Siya crew is that Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Richard Henyekane, has attracted interest from Polokwane City.
Henyekane has struggled for game time at Sundowns so far this season. The Kimberly-born player has made just one substitute appearance in the league in the 2013/14 campaign.
According to a source, who spoke to the Siya crew on condition of anonymity, the former Golden Arrows player has been mentioned as a possible addition to the current squad of the Limpopo outfit.
“I spoke with one of the officials at Polokwane City and Richard Henyekane’s name was mentioned among those of the players earmarked,” said the source.
City may want to get the player on loan in the January transfer window. The club’s spokesperson, Patrick Baloyi, refused to comment on the matter.
Henyekane’s contract with Sundowns runs until 2016, after the striker extended his stay at Chloorkop by two years in January.
