Benni McCarthy is in Cape Town for a few days, making a fleeting visit in an International week, just like he used to in heyday as a Bafana Bafana regular.
South Africa’s all-time leading goal-scorer, is living overseas again, and is in the process of becoming a coach, since he retired during this past off season.
The former Seven Stars, Ajax, Celta Vigo, Porto, Blackburn, West Ham and Orlando Pirates striker has recently started his coaching badges, and spent some time at Glasgow Celtic recently, working with Neil Lennon.
Benni is in the Mother City for a few days to visit his mother and family, who still live in the city.
The Siya crew got hold of the former Orlando Pirates striker and he said that he thought it would be a more difficult transition from playing to coaching, but he is loving it.
