Clinton Larsen says he resigned as head coach of Bloemfontein Celtic after the club gave him an ultimatum to change his assistant coach or walk.

Larsen stepped down as Phunya Sele Sele boss this morning, with Lehlohonolo Seema and Dunchan Lechesa taking over the reins in a caretaker capacity.

“There are two things that led to my resignation,” Larsen tells KickOff.com. “The first one was results. We started very well so we did not win any of our last six matches and the club was concerned about poor results. So I was given an ultimatum to change an assistant coach or resign and I chose to resign.
