TEN murder case suspects appeared before Vryburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday. They were subsequently arrested after they were implicated in a murder case of Moses Mosepele in Soutpanfontein farm near Stella.
A farmer, Luwentu Sipho Sigwinta, and his wife Lindiwe Mpathane were granted bail of R2000 each by Vryburg Magistrate’s Court while other accused Margaret Moipolai, Kedibone Lehula, David Plaatjie, Isaack Kibane, Simphiwe Cele and Zukisa Macikwana were granted R1000 bail each.
The two police officers, constables Samson Mazibuko and Olebogeng Nkele were also granted R1500 bail each. The suspects allegedly assaulted and poured boiling water on three suspects who were accused of stealing livestock at Sigwinta’s farm a month ago.
They were dragged to the farm and allegedly being assaulted and resulted in Mosepele’s murder. The suspects were charged with murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, assault with intent to cause grievously bodily harm and defeating the ends of justice. The case is postponed to 15 February 2016 for further investigation.
