Kaizer Chiefs claimed a spot in the Telkom Knockout final via a penalty shootout in their Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
Amakhosi had the best chance of the half in the ninth minute when a corner kick from Siphiwe Tshabalala picked out Ivan Bukenya, but his volley went over the bar.
Shabba was the creator again in the 20th minute. He sent a clever pass over the top for George Lebese but he was under pressure and sent his effort over the goal.
At the other end of the pitch Kermit Erasmus provided a great free kick that found Ntsikelelo Nyauza unmarked at the back post, but his header was well saved by Brilliant Khuzwayo.
Bukenya had another good chance in the 38th minute when Shabba sent a free kick in his direction, but he somehow failed to make contact.
Bucs had a good chance 10 minutes into the second half. A long ball into the Chiefs area was layed up by Thamsanqa Gabuza who gave Erasmus the chance to volley at goal, but the powerful strike was straight at the keeper.
