Taung- The residents of Taung spend almost a week without water. The taps went dry after the pipe that busted a week ago. Now the residents of Ranstad, Nhole and other surroundings were rushing to Manokoane which is the nearest place with water to get few litres left before the taps run dry.

Taung has been experiencing lots of unrest which led to protests and people barricating thre roads. Taung falls under the Municipality of Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati and the area is provided by Sedibeng Water.

 Our crew tried to contact the Sedibeng Water to highlight was is really causing the setbacks, but to no avails. We will be working around the clock to get their side of the story.

The North West Provincial Government launch a projects in March that will provide water in the area and working concurrently with The Naledi Municipality.
