Palacios mum about coaching fulltime

Posted: 2012-04-04 14:39

With the season nearing its end and the search for a new coach still going on behind the scenes, Orlando Pirates caretaker coach Augusto Palacios remains mum about his chances of taking over on a fulltime basis.

Palacios is in his second spell as caretaker coach after the club suspended and eventually sacked Julio Leal, but he would not be drawn into whether this time could become permanent.

“My focus is on winning all the remaining matches; I don’t want to talk about other things [like taking over fulltime],” ‘Njenje’ tellsKickOff.com

“I was brought in here to bring in discipline, play good football and win matches. I respect the chairman and what he has asked me to do until the end of the season.”

Since he took over, Pirates have lost two matches against Santos and Free State Stars, won two against Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars and drew against Mamelodi Sundowns. Palacios says he is happy with the results so far.

“I’m happy with the results and the fact that players are responding. I don’t want to talk about winning the League; I just want to focus on winning the remaining matches.”

MALEMA SUSPENDED AGAIN!!!

MALEMA SUSPENDED AGAIN!!!!!!
Alex Eliseev | 2 Hour(s) Ago

Julius Malema’s African National Congress (ANC) membership was suspended with immediate effect on Wednesday.

The party decided to suspend Malema for a second time after he called President Jacob Zuma a “dictator” for suppressing the youth during a speech he delivered at Wits University on Friday.

The ANC’s Keith Khoza said, “The NDC (National Disciplinary Committee) has decided to suspend comrade Julius Malema for his utterances during his address at Wits, where he made certain allegations against the president.”

In March, the ANC’s National Disciplinary Appeals Panel wrapped up its hearings on whether Malema should be expelled.

Malema was found guilty of sowing division in the party and bringing the ANC into disrepute over comments he made about Botswana.

His lawyers previously argued the entire prosecution was politically motivated and had nothing to do with matters of discipline or process.

Malema himself hinted that he believed this issue was politically motivated and was being driven by Zuma.

In recent weeks the ANCYL leader has said he would take the party to court should he be expelled.

CHILLING ON A HOT SEAT WITH…MOTSWEDING FM PRESENTER, TEBOGO “TJH” HOTANE!!!!!!!

Motsweding FM is one of the biggest and oldest radio stations in the country and it has a reputation of hiring the best presenters they can find. SABC radio has acquired the service of Tebogo “TJH” Hotane, as the presenter is affectionately known to his listeners.
Our crew pulls all stops to get CLOSE& PERSONAL with the vivacious voice presenter, so sit back and relax while our team takes you on the route to the Rise & Shine of Tebogo Joseph Hotane!!!!

HOW HIS DREAM CAME ABOUT?

Motsweding FM presenter was born and raised in Dryharts, Taung and as any other child he had a dream that one day he will become what he wanted to be. Tebogo gathered the hopes of becoming a radio presenter and inspired by different presenters back then.
Hotane had some uphill before he could live his dream, and he said his passion never dies even though he went through trials and tribulations of life.
“I grew up from not that conducive background and as any other child I believed that one day things will come together and I will achieve my dream. After finishing my matric, I went to Mafikeng where I started to find out about how I could become a radio presenter. When I arrived in Mafikeng, I started doing short course in radio, acting and entertainment” he said.
Not all was good and cosy for the exciting presenter as after finishing his radio course, even though he was top achieved student things was not smooth sailing for him.
Tebogo Hotane started to follow his dream when he recorded a demo to start his mission; he knocked in different doors with hopes of getting the opportunity to do what he does best, being behind the mic. But things did not go his way by then. He went to Johannesburg and did some short course in catering, then afterwards went back to Mahikeng.

PASSION

Tebogo never lose hope and believed that a radio is a calling to him, so he was passionate about what he wanted to achieve.
“I submitted some demo tapes to different community radio stations and went for auditions, but my break came through back in 2005 when I was part of Soul City 6, a radio drama. I started to push hard and when Mafikeng FM started to broadcast, I submitted my demo and I was called.
I was the first presenter on air when the Mafikeng Community radio obtained a permanent license (five years contract) to broadcast by ICASA.
And before that I Motsweding FM had some auditions, as I also auditioned but unfortunately I was not successful. But there was a competition at Motsweding FM called Moreetsi-Mogasi, where by a listener called in and being selected to come and present a show for a day with an on-air presenter. I was chosen and hosted a show with Lebo Leabile, which was called Lebo le Wena” Hotane said.

ACHIEVEMENTS

After the fourth auditions with the station, management liked what they saw and Tebogo joined the station last year in 2011. He now present the show called DIAOPELA every Sunday from 06:00-07:00 am.
But he also works as a stand-in presenter for different shows within the station. “My aim is to see myself as one of the finest radio presenters our country has ever produced and running a successful entertainment company” he said.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE

We did ask the presenter about his take on drugs and substance abuse within the youth and his word of advice to the youths at large.
“I would say a peer pressure is one issue that as a human being and a youth must never succumb to. As a youth your future is in your hands, you can become whatever you want to be, irrespective of your background. Make sure most of your time you spend it doing something positive. And also take your education very serious as without education you will have an uphill to climb” he said.
Hotane continue “Education is a key to success and make sure you follow your dream and you reach your potential. Stay away from substances as they will affect your life and eventually destroy it” Tebogo said.
You can catch Tebogo Joseph Hotane every Sunday from 06:00-07:00 on Motsweding FM or in other shows.
