Minnie Dlamini: I’m still single!


Johannesburg- Following a story in a Sunday paper that Minnie Dlamini and her ex Itumeleng Khune are back together. Minnie rubbished the claims on her Twitter earlier saying; ‘Contrary to reports I am still single.”

When the report came out some of the couple’s fan we’re excited to hear about the reunion. However, as Minnie said it, the couple is not back together.

Primary school construction progress impresses Premier Mahumapelo – Setsokotsane Programme


Geysdorp – Premier SOR Mahumapelo says the Bokone Bophirima Provincial Government and the residents of Geysdorp near Delareyville in Tswaing Local Municipality are looking forward to the completion of a new primary school that will accommodate seven hundred learners from around the area. 

Joined by MECs for Education and Sports Development Maphefo Matsemela, Culture, Arts and Traditional Affairs Tebogo Modise and MEC for Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development Manketsi Tlhape, Premier Mahumapelo made a brief stop at the construction site on Friday, to ascertain the progress that is being made towards the completion of the school, this as part of the Setsokotsane Programme activities for Tswaing Local Municipality. 

Premier Mahumapelo who was able to lend a helping hand to the workers, says the building of decent schools in the Province will go a long way in realising the objectives of the National Development Plan, which amongst others stresses the importance of education as a key driver of change. This 16-classroom primary school will cost government R32 million. 

The school Principal, Ms Hilda Pule says she is very excited with the support of the Provincial Government, and the speed with which it moves to respond to the plight of the community.

Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s R2m ‘bribe’


The woman who was there when Hlaudi Motsoeneng first lied about his matric on his SABC job application form now says he tried to bribe her to lie for him.

A source close to Mari Swanepoel, a former human resources officer at the SABC in Bloemfontein, says Motsoeneng asked her to make a statement saying he told her he did not have a matric.

AUDITIONS GONE WRONG!


CHAOS erupted during the auditions of Skeem Saam on Friday and Metro cops were called in to intervene.

Casting directors of the show saw red when actor-wannabes started pushing and shoving in Newtown, Joburg.

More than 10 000 people came to Bassline Music Hall to be auditioned after an advert of open auditions was shown on SABC1.

SAM: ‘JUST BRING BACK MY GRANDCHILD KELLY!’


INTERNET sensation Sam Meyiwa, father of the late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalstopper, Senzo Meyiwa, now wants Kelly Khumalo’s daughter Thingo to stay with his family.

Speaking to the People’s Paper, Sam said he wasn’t pleased with how Kelly had dealt with Senzo’s death.

“I’m disgusted by the fact that Kelly had even refused to let Aphelele come to my son’s funeral. Although we had our own differences, she could at least have asked someone to bring my granddaughter to the funeral.

DA’s case against Hlaudi Motsoeneng ‘strengthened’


The DA on Sunday claimed evidence that SABC chief operating officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng bribed a former human resources officer strengthened its case against him.
“The evidence is mounting that Hlaudi Motsoeneng abused his power at the SABC even beyond what the public protector originally found,” Democratic Alliance MP Gavin Davis said in a statement.

“This highlights one of the pitfalls of a legal strategy to delay justice for as long as possible.”
