A 27-YEAR-OLD man has been sentenced to 15 years by Kuruman Regional Court for murder. Moeketsi Nkoane stabbed Onewang Edwin Booysen (32) with a knife at Loopeng village, outside Kuruman in 2022.
The Northern Cape police spokesperson, Captain Mosimaneotsile Letsapa said: “Nkoane stabbed Booysen over the money he owed him. Letsapa further said Nkoane was remanded in custody until the completion of the case.”
Meanwhile, the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Commissioner, Major General Johnny Besnaar lauded the investigating officer, Sgt Khumoetsile Setlhauno for the meticulous investigation.
Besnaar further commended the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the Department of Justice, and Home Affairs for their respective contributions made during the investigation and prosecution of the case.
