Paramedic rushed to hospital after bee attack

KLERKSDORP- ‪A paramedic was rushed to hospital after having a severe allergic reaction following a bee attack while attending to a call in Wilkoppies, in Klerksdorp.

ER24 paramedics were contacted to attend to two women who were stung by bees at a property.

The spokesperson, Chitra Bodasing said: “It is understood a swarm of bees entered the property when one of the women opened a door. She closed the door and called for help. Security guards and paramedics arrived on scene and tried to get the women, who were both stung by the bees, out of the house.”

One of the paramedics as well as at least four other people on the scene were also stung by the bees.

The women, who were taken out of the house, paramedic and all others who were stung by the bees were taken several metres away from the property to be assessed.

One of the women went to hospital for further assessment.

Bodasing said that the paramedic was transported to hospital for further medical care.

Ethiopian man died in a “head on” collision near Taung

A 32 year-old man was killed in a horrific accident between Pudimoe and Taung on Wednesday.

North West police said a Ethiopian man who was driving a Tazz vehicle died on the scene after he allegedly plagued on an oncoming taxi minibus.

“A case of culpable homicide was opened at Pudimoe Police Station after a 32 year-old Ethiopian driver died. Commuters in a mini bus taxi and the driver suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospital for medical attention,” sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said.
