Rustenburg – North West police are looking for a man who allegedly raped and nearly killed a woman in Klekrsdorp, they said on Tuesday.

“The woman was found lying on the street by a passerby at Elandsheuwel on Saturday at about 6.15pm,” Captain Paul Ramaloko said.

The victim was found unconscious with blue jeans and underwear lying next to her. The victim had multiple bleeding wounds on her face and head.

Ramaloko said there were stones with blood stains around her. He said preliminary investigations suggested that the woman was raped.

“The victim is still unconscious and police are investigating attempted murder and rape.”
