Taung- A 29 year-old man was arrested by North West police after he allegedly hanged his son at Kgapamadi Section, at Maphoitsile village near Taung.
According to North West police spokesperson Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone, a 29 year-old man took his baby,5, from his girlfriend.
“The man allegedly took the boy home and entered his back yard room. He hanged the boy and amid the incident, the suspect fled the scene. One of the family members saw the boy in suspension from the roof and informed other family members” colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said.
A 29 year-old man later handed himself over to the police and he will appear at Taung Magistrate Court on Monday for murder.
The police said the motive behind the incident is yet unknown and a case of murder was launched while investigations continue.
