The visit to the Synagogue Church of All Nations(SCOAN) by families of South Africans who lost their loved ones during the tragic Lagos church building collapse should assist their healing and restoration process,Mahikeng Ministers Fellowship (MMF) said on Wednesday.
“We welcome the gesture and the pledge for continuous support for the 85 families. The participation of the families in the spiritual and emotional support programme that is part of the Christmas and end of the year candle lighting services will assist their journey towards final closure,” Chairperson of MMF,Apostle Zandisile Reginald Mpame said.
Apostle Mpame appealed for prayers for the eleven families that are still awaiting bodies of the loved ones to be repatriated back home “The process to bring the remaining 11 bodies of our brethren and compatriots whose families are carrying immense grief and affliction into the new year should be expedited,” Mpame emphasised.
SCOAN had on Monday announced that 44 family members had accepted the invitation from Prophet TB Joshua and the church and are to fly out on Christmas day and return on January 2. The entire trip including all transport, accommodation, meals and visa applications are funded by the church.
