Klerksdorp- One person was injured following a rear-end accident on Leemhuis Street in Klerksdorp this afternoon.

Upon paramedics’ arrival on scene, they found that a heavy goods vehicle had rear-ended a motor vehicle resulting in one of the occupants from the motor vehicle sustaining injury during the accident.

The injured patient was treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.

“Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation” Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said.
