Potchefstroom- Police has ensured a safe and secure Nedbank Golf Challenge at Sun City resorts since the commencement of the four days tournament on Thursday until Sunday.  

Rustenburg cluster specialized units together with Sun City Police Station Police worked selflessly and tirelessly around the clock so that tourists as well as both national and international Golf players enjoy the tournament. 

“The Police have arrested 15 suspects for various offenses, ranging from possession of drugs, drunken driving, possession of suspected stolen goods, shoplifting and possession of stolen property” colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said.

A 47-year-old man was arrested after stealing two golf T-shirt worth R1200 at the Golf Pro-shop at Gary Players golf course. 

According to the information, the suspects got away with several T-shirt worth R600,00 each and sold them on the road to Sun City for R150 each.  

All suspects appeared at Mogwase Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
