Monday starts probably the biggest murder trial in South Africa this year as Oscar Pistorius faces murder charges for the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. 

The trial in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria starts just over a year after the death of Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day. 

The proceedings in the wood-panelled courtroom will be broadcast live on television and radio, with the initial indictment listing 107 witnesses to testify for the State.
