Taung Magistrate Court granted a suspect who is implicated on a shooting of ANC member, Ogopoleng Semao at Magogong village.

Final Kgodumo,37 briefly appeared  before Taung Magistrate Court  today on charges of attempted murder,pointing of a fire-arm and unlawful in possession of a firearm.

“A 37 year-old man was arrested in Vryburg on Monday after he allegedly shot another ANC member at a party meeting” Brigadier Thulani Ngubane said.

“Kgodumo appeared briefly in court and a fight erupted between two factions. The supporters from two groups hauled stones at each other and a supporter from Semao allegedly stabbed a rival supporter from Kgodumo camp with a broken bottle on a shoulder” Ngubane said.

“The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was stiched and later released. The suspect was arrested and will appear before magistrate soon” He said.
