A 55 year-old man killed after been robbed

Mothutlung- A 55 year-old man died after being attacked by unknown suspects.

It is alleged that an old man was sitting with his son and their domestic worker when three suspects wearing balaclavas pounced on them.

This happened in a Mothutlung village near Brits. Apparently the perpetrators stabbed a 55 year-old man several times on a head using an unknown object.

“Police are looking for three suspects who allegedly killed a 55 year-old man and attacked his domestic worker” Brigadier Thulani said.

According to information received, the suspects tied-up a domestic worker with a rope and forced her to drink unknown mixture of drink.

“The balaclavas suspects allegedly stormed into the vctim’s house and steal the amount of R20 000 and two cellphones before fleeing the sene” Ngubane said.

The man suffered puncture wounds resulted into his death. The merciless suspects allegedly threw his body in a nearby canal and left  with his son.

“Police opened a case of murder,robbery and kidnapping. Investigations continue and no one has been arrested up to so far”Ngubane said.

Foetus discovered in a dustbin

Rustenburg- North West Police are investigating a case of concealment of death after a foetus was found in a dustbin.

According to the information on duty police were busy patrolling the area and received a call regarding a foetus found in a dustbin at corner Leyds and Fatima road in CBD.

“Police were summoned to the actual location where foetus was discovered and on teir arrival they met with 911 Emergeny Service” said Captain Tselane Nkala.

“It seems termination of pregnancy was performed elsewhere and dumped there as there were no trails of blood at the scene. The foetus was clean and estimated to be 28 to 30 weeks” Captain Nkala said.

Now Police investigations continue as a case of concealment of pregnancy was lanched and are looking  for the perpetrator.

North West Premier condemns racist and Islamophobic attack

Ventersdorp- North West Premier, Thandi Modise has condemned in the strongest terms possible the racist and islamophobic attack that has resulted in the death of a Muslim man in Ventersdorp on Monday.

” There is no place in our deverse society for those who harbour racism and religious intolerance. We call on Police not to leave any stone unturned to ensure those responsible for the death of Ventersdorp resident, Muhammad Fayaas Kazi, 27 are behind bars, no hole would be big enough for tm o hide” said Premier Modise.

 The premier call on residents to assist police in their investigations, exercise restraint and allow the to take its course.

According to Media reports, Anser Mahmood,33 and his deceased nephew, Kazi were on their way home when they stopped to buy food for their iftar(evening meal to break the fast) at a fast food outlet in Magaliesburg on Mnday night.

A fight reportedly broke out between Kazi and a group of men after he was mocked over his sunnah beard.

 The pair were allegedly kicked out of a Chicken Licken and attacked on te teet by a third person who ht Mahmood.

Police arrived at the scene and directed the two men to the Magaliesburg Police Station where they planned to lay charges.

 The Police apparently told them that the suspects were known to them.

Kazi then said he wanted to home. He codition reportedly deteriorated along the way, and he was treated in Ventersdorp and Potchefstroom before being transferred to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg where he was classified as brain dead on arrival.

He was transferred back to Potchefstroom, where he died at 05:00 on Tuesday. He apparently suffered a subdural haematoma, or traumatic brain injury.

Kazi’s funeral was held on Tuesday.
