So seat-back and relax while we giving you untold strories of the man himself….Kagisho “Real Professor” Motlhasi!!!
Hip hop is one of the most fastest growing genre in a music industry nowadays. We have seen most of the world renowned superstars featuring the rappers in their latest tracks.
The likes of Rihanna, Chris Brown and Sylvester Robert Kelly and also Beyonce featuring rappers that really shows how the music industry has changed and gone to next level.
Modimong-born rapper also attest to that, that hip hop is taking over the music scene. He is still in grade 12 but gather beliefs that his destination is already confirmed.
“I followed music long time ago and i believe that by been inspired by the likes of Ludacris, lloyds and Nas i’ve chose the right path. I am very passionate when coming to hip hop because the genre does not limit you as a person. whatever you sing of,is who and what you believe in” he reckoned.
Kagisho Motlhasi was born in Taung, Modimong and moved to Mokgareng near Taung where he found his love for the music. Since then, the Motswako rapper never look back.
“I started rapping back in 2007,but fell in love with hip hop back in 2005. I worked with different people and released few tracks. Few of my tracks has been playing on other community radio station called Vaaltar FM and also performed in different shows” Real Prof-K said
LIVING IN WESTERNIZED SOCIETY!!!
We put Real Prof-K to the test,as we see more and more westernised culture creeping into our society. He outlined that sometimes copying other people style of living and doing things is not the best option.
“By being copy-cats is not good for us as a society because we losing ourselves. We must really no ourselves and know what we want,where we come from and where we going.
If you check nowadays,the youth of today does not understand our culture and history” he said.
We asked him about what he know about our history specifically June 16, and he responded.
“What i know is that most of our youth died in a protest as they did not want to be taught everything in Afrikaans And they did not die in vain because we now reeping the rewards of their heroic and bravery way” he said.
Motlhasi says he would like to see himself been one of the best rappers in five years and no matter what he will never budge. The grade 12, Bankdrift High school student is so adamant that in life if you work hard nothing is impossible.
And he worked with different up and coming artists in Mokgareng where he is based currently and under Avantgarde media.
Even though Real-K has not released any album, he is working hard and have mix tapes that you can solicit yourself with.
“I am workingg with Iligiza, whom a met during a hip hop show called Special Flavor at Vaaltar FM. I am planning top release my album soon and showcase my talent”
