Terre’Blanche trial resumes!!!!!

The Eugene Terre’Blanche murder trial will resume in Ventersdorp on Tuesday morning, as the state nears the end of its case against the two accused.

Terre’blanche, a former leader of the rightwing Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB), was killed on his North West farm in April 2010 allegedly by two employees, one of whom is a teenage boy.

Investigating officer Lieutenant Colonel Tsietsi Mano is expected to be recalled to the stand when the trial resumes.

Mano had previously testified in a trial within a trial to determine the admissibility of statements the two accused gave police when they pointed out the crime scene.

The judge ruled in the teenager’s favour, making it impossible for the state to use that evidence against him.

The boy’s lawyers argued that his rights were infringed because police did not follow proper procedure when they questioned him.

The state is close to wrapping up its case after previously calling a number of police officers, a paramedic, a pathologist and Eugene Terre’Blanche’s widow, Martie to testify.
