29 October 2025- A man (44) was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by the Prieska Regional Court for rape. This comes after the accused raped a woman (19).
The Northern Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Timothy Sam said the incident took place on 12 December 2019, when the victim was accosted by the accused who was known to her as the boyfriend of her aunt.
