Police are looking for missing Charlotte von Wielligh

27 February 2026- The police in Upington are requesting the assistance of the public in locating a missing woman, Charlotte von Wielligh (43), who was last seen on 21 February 2026, in Upington before she reportedly left for Danielskuil, where she packed some clothes and left in her white Mazda 3, with registration number CLT 536 NC.

The ZF Mgcawu District police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Omphile Masegela said family lost contact with her soon after that, her phone is unreachable and they have been trying to locate her unsuccessfully. Masegela said anyone with information that can assist in locating von Wielligh can contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Roos on 082 495 4615 or 054 337 3400 or alternatively report on mySAPS App.

“The public is urged to report missing persons as soon as possible. No waiting period applies when reporting a missing person,” she said.

Police are looking for missing Tommy

The police in Upington are requesting the assistance of the public in locating a missing woman, Fransiena Dede Tommy. Tommy (63) was last seen on 3 May 2024 at Capitec Bank, near Shoprite in the Upington Central Business District (CBD) with two women.

The ZF Mgcawu District police spokesperson, Omphile Masegela said they were seen doing a bank transaction together. Masegela said thereafter, Tommy allegedly left with them and she has not returned home since.

“Tommy was wearing a red blouse, blue denim jeans with blue sneakers. Anyone with information can contact the Investigating Officer, Sergeant Bahedile Nkwadipo on 082 495 4615 or 054 337 3400.

“The public is reminded that there is no waiting period to report a person missing,” she said.
