Taung- The residents of Taung who were victims of torential rains experienced in the area can breath a sigh of relief. 

They provincial government promised to help them to rebuilt their houses.

Close to 81 houses imploded rain falling rapidly and in copious quantities.

“Most houses imploded after heavy rains were experienced in Taung and that left many households homeless” Obakeng Mongale said.

“The contractor has been appointed and will be presented to the residents next week to do assessment” he said.

Most residents were forced to solicit alternative accomodations with their loved ones.

The representatives said the preparations for RDPs that will be allocated to victims will start next week as the contractor has already being appointed.
