Potchefstroom- A 15 year-old boy was killed this morning when he was hit by a taxi on Promosa Road, Potchefstroom.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and saw the lifeless body of the young boy lying face down in the middle of the road.

“Metro services had to close the road for some time to allow paramedics to work safely” Er24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.

CPR and advanced life support was performed on the boy for almost forty-five minutes. Unfortunately, no signs of life returned.

No one sustained any injuries in the taxi.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.-TDN
