Caltonville-A man in his twenties was killed after a vehicle knocked him off his bicycle in Carltonville CBD this morning.

“The deceased was hit while he was attempting to cross Ada Street, the second busiest main road in the area” Er24 spokesperson Chris Venter said.

ER24 paramedics declared the man dead on scene. He is suspected to have succumbed to severe internal injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured however he was transported to Carltonville Provincial Hospital to be treated for shock.

The incident is currently under investigation.-TDN
