Taung- Thousand of young people are expected to attend the North West Provincial Youth Month Celebration and closing event to be held at the Great Taung Stadium on Saturday.

Buses for youth expected to attend the event schedule to commerce at 10:00am are co-ordinated by respective municipalities. 

Hip Hop musician, TUKS Senganga is among artists featured to entertain the youth.

Among achievements to be celebrated is the Job Placement Programme that will offer about 200 youth from the province international exposure while they earn about R20 000. 

“The programme three initiative launched last week by Ubuntu Institute in partnership with the Office of the North West Premier,mme Thandi Modise premier is funded to the tune of R46 millon by the Development Bank’s Jobs Fund” said Head of Communication from Office of Premier, Lesiba Kgwele.

The National Youth Development Ageny and Premier Youth Support had mobilised volunteers for participation in Proud to Serve Youth Campaign the embarked on cleaning campaigns in different municipalitiesacross the province during youth month.

The campaign included construction of 36 houses in Ditsobotla, Tswaing, Maquassi Hills, Moses Kotane and Greater Taung local municipalities.
