Brits- North West police arrested a man after he allegedly beaten another man to death.

The atrocity took place on Sunday at Brits, near Pretoria where two men engaged in a quarrel.

“It is alleged that a 44 year-old man was sitting at the fire place along with his girlfriend and other folks. The fight erupted after the suspect allegedly accused Thomas Mabitsela,35 of fondling his girlfriend’s thighs” colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said.

Police said a suspect allegedly grabbed a burning wood and assaulted Matsibela with it.

He was rushed to hospital after he suffered terrible injuries.

Matsibela,35 died the following day at hospital and police arrested the suspect for murder.

“The suspect is expected to appear before Brits Magistrate Court for murder charge soon” Mokgwabone said.
