An early morning raid by local government and traditional affairs MEC Manketsi Tlhape on Saturday uncovered two bogus initiation schools that had been operating illegally in the Sannieshof area, near Delareyville.

The schools were subsequently closed down and about 80 initiates comprising men and women aged between 14 and 50 were ferried to a nearby health centre for medical check-ups.
