The Police of Sun City arrested 13 people for Public Violence.

“This morning at about 11:00, about 250 people started to barricade the road, throwing stones and burning tyres at the four-way stop at Ledig” Brigadier Ngubane said.

This followed after the protestors handed over a memorandum last week to the new platinum mine, Wesizwe and didn’t receive any feedback on their demands.

  In the memorandum they stated that they want  the local people of Ledig to be hired by the mine.  One vehicle has been damaged and a member of the public has been assaulted.

Currently the situation is calm but is being monitored by the police. The 13 suspects areexpected to appear shortly in court.
