NORTH West police are investigating a case of fraud against police officers at Reivilo police station after some of them allegedly use d petrol cards belonging to the state for personal use.
The petrol cards in question were for two state vehicles that had been grounded yet about R10 000 worth of petrol was bought with two cards.
One card belonged to a marked police truck that has been parked for a month at the police station while the other one is for a vehicle undergoing repairs after an accident four months ago.
North West police spokesperson colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said two fraud càses were opened and investigations were unde way.
Records seen by TDN show that the two identified petrol cards were frequently used at a petrol filling station in Taung.
Sources said those implicated were senior officers.
