15 September 2025- The North West MEC for Public Works and Roads, Elizabeth Mokua will on Tuesday, officially introduce the contractor appointed to construct D210 road, which stretches from Taung to Modimong village. The road, covering approximately 15 kilometres between Modimong and Cokonyane villages, is expected to enhance community access to essential services.
“The special maintenance works will involve upgrading the current road surface, carrying out patch and pothole repairs, and constructing new surfacing and reseal.
“The project is set to create over 50 job opportunities for local workers, while local Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) will benefit through subcontracting, with 30% of the project value allocated to them,” said Mokua.
