South African Civic Organisation (Sanco) Regional Secretary in Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati, Mika Moeti condemns the incident and said they will urge police to pull all stops to make sure the perpetrator is locked up. “We would like to urge the community to work hand-in-hand with police to root-out this criminals who sojourn in Taung where they practice their criminal activities in our area. “This kind of behaviour cannot be tolerated and we must make sure they are taken out of our society. We are working together with police and soon we will introduce bicycle patrolling as well as donkey carts patrolling ,” Moeti said. He said communities must form Community Forum Policing (CPF) and recommend that police visibility is also key. “We cannot continue like that. All those who know people who practice crime, must come forward and inform the police. We must be very radical and make sure criminals do not have any place within our society,” Moeti concludes. -TDN Follow us on Twitter@Taung_DailyNews or @IceT_
