KwaZulu-Natal – KwaZulu-Natal premier Zweli Mkhize sent birthday wishes to King Goodwill Zwelithini on Thursday.

Zwelithini turns 64 on Friday.

“The people of KwaZulu-Natal have been joined by many people from other parts of the country and the world in wishing Goodwill Zwelithini a happy birthday.

“We are grateful as this province that we have been blessed with the life of His Majesty. He continues to give our province the uniqueness and competitive edge,” Mkhize said in a statement.

He said the King had given the world a taste of the province’s rich heritage and history by hosting international guests over the years.

Mkhize said the King’s firm stand against drunkenness and substance abuse was appreciated.
