Kimberley man robbed, suspect at large

Kimberley- Northern Cape police are investigating a case of robbery after a man was allegedly robbed. 

Northern Cape police spokesperson lieutenant Sergio Kock said on 01 April 2015 at about 10:15 the male(24) complainant alleges that he was walking down Long Street and was robbed on his way to the CBD.

“At the corner of Chapel and Long Street the victim was allegedly stopped by an Afrikaans-speaking African male. The suspect had dreadlocks and was wearing a blue Pringle T-shirt, black Levis jeans with blue and white tekkies,” Kock said.

The suspect then took out a knife and threatened the victim before taking his Samsung cellphone and fleeing the scene.

“The police request that anyone with information please call Detective Const KA Baisitse on 083 5164726. The investigation continues,” he said.
