Taung-A 59 year-old man was found dead in Buxton village, near Taung,North West police said.

Captain Pelonomi Makau said a 59 year-old man was found with head injuries on Saturday morning at Buxton village, near Taung.

“Otsile Johannes Mabogola was found dead with head injuries on Saturday morning. Police cannot confirm wether he was bludgeoned to death or was killed by a hit and run car” Makau said.

According to our source, Mabogola was on his way home after they spent time at a local tavern with friends. The allegedly parted ways at around 02:00am to their respectful homes.

A man was allegedly heard screaming and his friend, Ledwaba thought he is calling for another friend called Diboki.

Police said the cause of his death will be known after postmortem.

Mabogola’s body was allegedly found by a woman called Oumaki and police were called.

Some suspect Mabogola was hit by a runaway car as some of the residents allegedly saw a speeding golf passed-by after Mabogola screamed.

Taung police launched a murder case and the result amid Mabogola’s death will be known soon.-TDN
