The ANC in the Western Cape says it has discovered at least three schools in the Cape metropole that have not received their textbooks since the beginning of the year. The party says this has emerged following the highly publicised text book saga in Limpopo. 

 

Western Cape ANC leaders visited the affected schools and handed over textbooks this morning. These include Wallacedene, Bloekombos and Ekuthuleni primary schools, which are all in Kraaifontein. 

 

Provincial ANC chairman Marius Fransman says its shameful that the 3 affected schools don’t have textbooks at this time of the year. He says its criminal that DA leader and Western Cape Premier, Helen Zille criticised the situation in Limpopo when she had to the same scenario in her backyard.
