NWest Office of the Premier reaches out to rural learners

The staff members of the Office of the Premier have embarked on an initiative to mark Mandela month and do their bit by giving 67 minutes of their time in a selfless effort to respond to the plight of those in abject poverty.

The initiative includes among others giving in kind to learners from disadvantaged and poor communities.

To achieve this objective staff members have contributed gifts to be handed out to three schools in the North West Province over two days. The schools that have been identified to which donations will be made are the Madiba Comprehensive School in Rooigrond, the Thutlwane and the Madibogo Pan Primary school in Madibogo Pan.

Staff members will be handing out these gifts at the respective schools and also spend the day with the learners part of a build-up programme towards the national Mandela Day event to be hosted by the province

There will also be other activities including story-telling, motivational talks as well as sporting activities.

The events will take place as follows:
