The event was held at Bloemhof Community Hall in Lekwa Teemane municipality on Tuesday.
Mahumapelo said the employees play a critical part to make sure the lives of the people are changed.
“We need to put the people of the province first before anything else. Our fifth administration will make sure that the workers are integral part of the administration.
“We have come up with an approach which will cease us to turn things around. We came up with rebranding, repositioning and renewal. We need to make sure that the province become progressive, have vision and change the mediocrity to become something else,” Mahumapelo said.
He also said the province came up with strategic anchor principles to increase the province’s economy.
“Our key strategic aspects are Agriculture, Culture and Tourism (ACT) because as long as human beings consume something to survive, we will always benefit. The province is duped as agricultural beacon. We need to become the best in the province in agricultural side,” he said.
The premier also encouraged the seniors officials to treat junior staff with respect. He said reconciliation and healing must start at public services.
“We will encourage the senior officials to treat their junior staff with respect because if your staff is unhappy, that will hinder the production. Remember that we here to create the future history. There are junior staff that have potential, then those must be capacitated,” he said.
Mahumapelo said the public officials need to pull together.
“Just know that in any aspect, there must be differences so that dynamism occurs. We do not have to be threatened by our junior staff. If we have differences, we need reciprocation where politicians work together with administration,” Mahumapelo concludes.
