Free State Stars defender Daniel Cardoso has confirmed that his reported move to Kaizer Chiefs is “pretty much done”.

The newly capped Bafana Bafana centre-back is widely understood to have signed a three-year deal with the Absa Premiership champions, although the deal was not confirmed as was expected at a big Chiefs press conference last week.

Cardoso says he is waiting for his new club to announce the deal before he can talk freely about the move.

“There isn’t any more news, I want them [Chiefs] to make the announcement first,” Cardoso tells Sport24.
