Stella-North West police are investigating a case of inquest after a man burned to death.

Police said a 18 year-old man was burned to death in lekgaratlhile squatter camp in Stella when his shack caught fire.

“On Friday a neighbour heard screams and squealing sound and went to investigatin” captain Adele Myburgh said.

It is alleged that a shack of Thabang Ithusang was on fire.

“Fire fighters were called on the scene and the fire was extinguished. The body of Thabang Ithusang was found burned to death and the cause of the fire is unknown so far” Myburgh said.

The case of inquest has been opened and investigations continue.
