Taung- The case against the man accused of murdering Thebe Bogaleboile,45, has been provisionally withdrawn.

Moses Goitsemodimo,39, made a brief appearance in the Taung Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Bogaleboile and Goitsemodimo were allegedly engaged in a fight at a local tavern in Lokgabeng village, near Taung. According to information, Goitsemodimo and Bogaleboile were gambling and fought over R4.

It is alleged that Goitsemodimo stabbed the deceased on a shoulder with unknown object and Bogaleboile died at Taung hospital, two days after the incident.

Goitsemodimo was cornered by community and was handed over to police.

A case was provisionally withdrawn because there is no enough evidence to prove that Goitsemodimo is guilty as he claims he stabbed Bogaleboile in self-defence.
