Johannesburg- The South African Men’s U20 National Team (Amajita) head coach, Shakes Mashaba, has made four changes to the starting eleven that took the field against Burkina Faso on Wednesday, 23 July at the Stade du 4 Août in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
Amajita face Mali in Bamako later today (Saturday, 26 July) at the Stade Modibo Keita de Bamako. Kickoff is at 16h00 local time in Mali (18h00 SA time).
Mashaba has brought on goalkeeper Dumisani Msibi in place of Jethren Barr, Ryan Christian replacing Skhumbuzo Mazibuko in the middle of the park, Thembinkosi Mbamba comes in for injured Sphelele Luthuli while Dikgang Ngcobo takes the place of Tshepo Liphoko.
The defence remains unchanged with Bongani Mathabela, Maphosa Modiba, captain Ayabulela Maqgwaka and Madisha Modjeka. Pule Maraisane, Fagrie Lakay and Tlotlo Leepile are the other midfielders.
Jody February and Luthuli have not been considered because of injury.
This is South Africa’s second match on the tour of West Africa to prepare for the 2015 African Youth Championships qualifier against Cameroon on Saturday, 16 August in Yaounde.
In their first match, Amajita played to a 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou.
The remaining matches are against Senegal and Ivory Coast.
