TAUNG- A 31 year-old man was allegedly bludgeoned after the criminals pounced on the Chinese shop in Taung CBD on Thursday at around 11:00am.
According to the shop-owner who did not want to be named nor photographed, said the car was parked outside his shop with stock inside.
“Two suspects allegedly opened the bakkie and tried to steal some groceries, but our security guard was alert and chased after them. One of the suspects allegedly drew a knife and stabbed him on his hand” the shop-owner said.
The security guard was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Abram Tsile Palagangwe(31) said he was stabbed on his wrist and sustained deep cut.
Our crew asked him if he opened a case against those perpetrators at local police station, but Palagangwe vehemently said he can’t open the case because police won’t take any actions.
“Haye…I did not open any case because the police here are not helpful. There are so many cases that were opened before, but what we get are excuses after excuses. So it is better I leave it that way” Palagangwe said.
North West police were not available for any comment as their phone rang unanswered before going to print.
