Molapisi applauds N12Traffic highway patrol and SAPS flying squad teams

North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Gaoage Molapisi applauded the N12 traffic highway patrol and the South African Police Service flying squad teams who nailed the armed robbers earlier this week.

Three suspects who were driving a blue BMW 3 series were arrested by the two teams after they allegedly robbed in Orkney. It is believed that the suspects are responsible for a number of ATM bombings and cash in transit and mall robberies.

A Toyota Hilux double cab has since escaped the scene which it was believed to be part of the robbery. Police and traffic officers are not sure of the number of those in the double cab.

MEC Molapisi said the corporation and working together of SAPS and Traffic Authorities is now bearing fruitful fruits. He sends his message of gratitude to the two team members for the bravery and commitment.

“A successful arrest of and armed robbers showed your level of commitment to your daily work and you displayed an element of bravery.

This arrest should send out a message to criminals that they cannot escape the net that is closing on them and their operations. And to those who allegedly escaped, that is a temporary success but my strong message to you is that we are just behind your footsteps and very soon you will be behind bars where you belong,” concluded Moalapisi.

Mashego: Pitso not as harsh as he seems

Johannesburg – Charismatic Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is a true character of South African football, but Katlego Mashego also says he is one of the hardest working coaches in the league.

According to the Soccer-Laduma website, when the final whistle goes, fans are always interested to hear Pitso’s thoughts on proceedings with his colourful quotes in post-match interviews, but Mashego gives us a rare peak behind the scenes into how the coach goes about his daily chores.

“I think we have the hardest working technical team in the PSL! The coach (Pitso) and his assistants work very well together with the rest of the technical team,” Mashego said in an exclusive Supporters Club interview.

“They show us video analysis of the opposition players, our own mistakes and where we are doing well, and tell us whatever we need to know about our opposition well ahead of time.

“I can safely say we have the best technical team around. They are the best I’ve ever come across, from the coaches to the physiotherapist. I mean, everyone is on top of their game here and there’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. People aren’t aware of just how hard our technical team works.”

MashEgo also says that despite looking fairly strict, Pitso is not actually that harsh.

“The one thing that people don’t know about Pitso is that he’s not as hard to please or as harsh as he seems to be,” he continued.

“I think people have a completely different perception of who the man really is, based on his passion for the game. He’s one of the most passionate coaches I have ever seen! He embraces his players and always enjoys it when his team wins.”
